Parents can have a huge impact on student learning and your classroom management. This course provides a few examples and suggested methods to use to get parents along side their child supporting them in their learning.
This course is made up of a series of short videos from Daniel Jackson (founder of TeachersPD.net) and experienced educator. This course includes an evidence task where you are required to keep a record of one method that you utilised to use parents in your student’s learning and a short reflection on how this impacted the child’s learning.
This course has a forum and you are encouraged to contribute to the forum and to comment on individual lessons or sections of the course.
Completing Engaging Parents in Learning will contribute 1 hours and 0 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 7.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
