Working for Learning

Knowing how students learn is key to our role as teachers in the classroom. This course explains some of the science behind how students learn and provides practical strategies that you can implement in the classroom to help students to excel in their learning.

This course is made up of a series of short videos from Daniel Jackson (founder of and experienced educator. This course includes an evidence task where you are required to adapt a program, unit of work OR sequence of lessons based on what you learn to show that you have engaged with the course and applied it to your teaching and learning.

This course has a forum and you are encouraged to contribute to the forum and to comment on individual lessons or sections of the course.

Completing Working for Learning will contribute 6 hours and 0 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 1.2.2, 3.2.2, 3.3.2, 5.2.2 and 7.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
