To ensure we are providing gourmet units with fantastic teaching and learning experiences for our students to help them not just do well in their exams but prepare them for life after school
This workshop is well suited for first time and experienced Preliminary PDHPE teachers who would like to gather more resources and ideas on how to teach the course.
In preparation for the workshop Dan encourages attendees to view a few short videos that unpack some of the key aspects of the syllabus and help prepare you for the workshop.
During the workshop Dan will provide you with hands on activities to explore some of the key pieces of content with your students. Providing a repertoire of teaching and learning strategies as well as resources that you can implement in your classroom.
This workshop will guide you through the process of creating “gourmet units” and provide you with time to develop your teaching and learning programs while challenging you to think deeply about your approach to Stage 6 education. Dan will also provide you with access to one of his gourmet units including an assessment task.
At the end of the workshop you will be provided with more videos that provide strategies to help your students improve their learning and some of the best practices you can engage in to advance them forward in preparing for Exams.
Support is provided after the workshop through an online forum where further collaboration is encouraged. You are also provided access to a shared Google drive with resources that both Dan and other teachers have shared.
