Project-Based Learning (PBL) is about helping to prepare our students for the future. PBL enables students to develop the 4 Cs of future ready learning – Communication, Collaboration, Critical thinking and Creativity. Whether you are new to PBL or an experienced practitioner, Thom has the knowledge and expertise to help you further develop and engage your students to help them be successful.
This workshop includes access to Thom’s new online PBL course “The Practitioner: Master Project Design Skills” valued at USD $59. In order to get the most from the workshop you are asked to complete this short online course before the 18 June. The workshop itself is a day of hands on design and refinement as you create a PBL unit to implement in your classroom. Thom will provide you with a large range of scaffolds and tools that you can use and will guide you through this process, which can be unnerving on your own.
Completing the Project-Based Learning Workshop will contribute 8 hours and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 3.1.2, 3.2.2 and 3.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
